Germano Schafascheck
Brief Biography
I studied Control and Automation Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianópolis, Brazil, and I received a Master’s degree in Automation and Systems Engineering from the same university. Since 2016, I have been a teaching and research assistant at the Control Systems Group (Fachgebiet Regelungssysteme) of TU Berlin, where I also pursue my PhD in a joint (cotutelle) program with the University of Angers, France. My current research is mainly focused on modeling and control of timed discrete-event systems in tropical algebras. I am also interested in the theory of formal languages and automata, Petri nets theory, and supervisory control theory.
