Brief Biography

I studied Engineering Cybernetics at the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in Germany from 2003 to 2008. During this time I've spent a year at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, working on the control of unmanned aerial vehicles under Dr. Alan Lynch. I've done an internship at IAV in Gifhorn, Germany. I completed my Diploma in 2008 at the MPI in Magdeburg. Since November 2008 I am a Ph. D. student at the IMPRS in the control systems group headed by Prof. Jörg Raisch at the MPI in Magdeburg.

Research Topic

My main research interest is in the qualitative dynamics of multisite phosphorylation processes with a focus on the parameter space defining regions of multistationarity, the importance of the number of phosphorylation steps towards multistationarity, and the robustness of multistationarity in the multisite phosphorylation process.
